What in the world do I draw with?

This is a quick list of my favorite tools of the trade. These have become my favorites of years of drawing and buying crap. I AM NOT sponsored. Yet? (Please!)

I try to buy local whenever possible, but I do know sometimes it is hard to find specific products. I am very lucky to live in an area with lots of art stores that carry some of these brands, and also a store that is locally owned that carries most of these. But for reference, I have added Amazon links!

BY FAR MY FAVORITE

The soft brush Pitt Artist pen from Faber-Castel is my love. My only gripe, the price. But a similar effect can be made with a small brush and ink, so take note! This is just much more portable when drawing on the go!

Faber-Castell sets

The first set (Left or top) was my first Faber-Castell set, and it was love at first drawing. Great all around set, every pen is great. The other one (on the right or bottom) is great as well, and includes my favorite soft brush pen.

Sakura Pigma Micron Fineliner pens

These are just all around great. They come in all different sizes, and have become a staple for artists. I have a ton of these in all sizes and colors!

ACHIVAL INKS!

I like to use just plain ole ink as well with a brush. These are just a few I have used in the past that I like. I would like to note, you can refill SAKURA Pigma Micron pens with these to get more life out of them!

Ohuhu Alcohol markers

This brand is fantastic. I have ALOT of them. If you love this type of marker, just get the big pack lol. Some people will say go with Copic, but they are way too expensive. I actually prefer Ohuhu over Copic. I only wish I could refill these or buy smaller bundles.

Derwent Pencils

I prefer this brand, they just feel right. I usually use the HB so I buy a few at a time from a local store and they last a long time. Great all around pencils.

Staedtler Erasers

These are the KING of erasers in my opinion. I started using these when I took some of my dads drafting supplies to draw. They are perfect and fully erase all pencil. I don't know what Mars plastic is, but its magic.

Wacom Cintiq tablet

This is what I am currently using for my digital art along with Adobe Photoshop. Yes, it broke the bank. BUT it is a great entry tool for graphic design, works every time I turn it on, and feels good. Don't go cheap on a tool like this. Make the investment. I was recommended one by a friend that went to Ringling school of arts, and I will also recommend this after using it for about three years with no issues. I need the big boy one now LOL! Maybe one day!
